Montauk Boutique Café & Restaurant will bring Long Island beach house vibes to the trendy Al Bateen neighbourhood.

Montauk Boutique Café and Restaurant is the latest addition to the dining scene in the capital and is set to open its elegant doors in Abu Dhabi this February.

Montauk’s kitchen is led by Emirati owner and founder, Chef Mariam Almansoori, whose passion and artistry is ingrained into every aspect of the homegrown brand, presenting an exciting menu of wholesome home-to-table style cuisine. The Instagram-worthy café, bakery and restaurant, boasts a chilled neighbourhood ambience for indulgent breakfasts, leisurely lunches, or dinner with the family.

Custom made to capture the picturesque essence of the ultra-luxurious seaside destination of Montauk in The Hamptons, New York; the restaurant’s interiors are homely and simple yet sophisticated and chic. Think opulent wooden flooring and French wall panelling, nautical-inspired rich jade green and off-white striped upholstery with cream linens, handpicked artwork and personalised illustrations, all complemented by natural greenery and flower arrangements. Designed from top to bottom to reflect the comfort found in a warming home, the venue houses a living room-style dining room on the first floor and a bakery and terrace on the second.

Montauk’s team of seasoned chefs use classical techniques to produce contemporary café cuisine with Chef Mariam’s special homely touch, bringing a hint of her Arabic heritage. Only the freshest, wholesome ingredients are used to create a wide range of dishes that focus on health. A medley of tasty favourites will also be on offer for vegetarians, vegans, gluten-free and low-fat diners. Fresh daily artistic salads of spiced fig and goat’s cheese, watermelon and feta, and burrata with citrus will be available, as well as tempting starter dishes of spicy grilled garlic prawns, harissa and sundried tomato chicken with king oyster mushrooms and lemongrass hummus, and double stuffed baked sweet potato with beef bacon and broccoli, drizzled with truffle cheese sauce.

For mains, the Montauk-grilled Canadian lobster with roasted nori butter is the signature, in addition to spiced lamb chops with pomegranate and Greek Yoghurt, salmon with mango and corn salsa, and creamy truffle rigatoni. Classic desserts bring meals to an indulgent end with options like sticky toffee pudding, passionfruit cheesecake, and chocolate caramel fondant.

Montauk Boutique Café & Restaurant will open to guests from 8am to 11pm, serving breakfast, lunch and dinner, in late February 2020.
