UFC Fight Night returns to Abu Dhabi this July

Details on who will be headlining the event have not yet been unveiled.

Abu Dhabi never falls short when it comes to delivering entertainment all year round. And this time, the capital is gearing up for a sports extravaganza packed with punches, choke slams, and adrenaline-pumping action. Get your gloves on because UFC Fight Night returns to Abu Dhabi this July.

Taking place on Saturday, 26 July, at Etihad Arena, UFC Fight Night will bring some of the biggest names from the world of MMA to the ring. Expect a night of world-class sporting action. Details of who will be headlining UFC Fight Night this year are yet to be unveiled, but with its massive success, expect some heavyweights to fly out to the capital.

Last year, UFC Fight Night saw Cory Sandhagen and Umar Nurmagomedov come face-to-face for the title. Cory Sandhagen, popularly known as The Sandman, has frequented Abu Dhabi. However, it was Russian heavyweight Umar Nurmagomedov’s debut in the capital. He brought his undefeated record to Abu Dhabi and won the title in 2024.

Prior to 2024’s UFC Fight Night, Cory and Umar were supposed to face off in Tennessee in 2023. However, Umar pulled out of the event, making Cory fight Rob Font. In addition to Sandhagen versus Nurmagomedov, UFC Fight Night also saw clashes between other legendary MMA stars such as Mackenzie Dern and Loppy Godinez, Tony Ferguson and Michael Chiesa, Shara Magamedov and Michal Oleksiejczuk, and Marlon Vera and Deiveson Figueiredo.

The likes of Alonzo Menifield, Azamat Murzakanov, Denis Tiuliulin, Don’Tale Mayes, Jai Herbert, Kaue Fernandes, the UAE’s Mohammad Yahya, Rolando Bedoya, Sam Hughes, Sedriques Dumas, Shamil Gaziev and Victoria Dudakova were also in attendance.

Tickets to the event are not on sale yet, but you can register your interest so that you’re the first one to know when they finally go on sale.
