Squid Game Virtuals takes place in Boulevard City, Riyadh. The immersive experience draws inspiration from the Netflix show, Squid Games. Individuals will compete against each other in three thrilling games, which include crossing a “glass” bridge.
Participants will put on a VR headset, and enter a virtual reality world. Thanks to state-of-the-art technology, you’ll be able to enter the world of Squid Games. And, the winner is the one with the highest score.
Squid Game is a thrilling horror series, which follows 456 players who are suffering from financial hardship. When they sign up to play a game, they have the chance of becoming billionaires. The challenge is based on a Korean children’s game.
In 2021, the first series was released on Netflix, and achieved critical acclaim. The show was watched by more than 142 million viewers. Production has started on the second series of Squid Games, and it is scheduled to be released on 26 December 2024.
The show received a Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting Actor for O Yeong-Su, and Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor and Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor for Lee Jung-jae and HoYeon Jung, respectively.
