The best restaurants in the region will be announced in Abu Dhabi on 30 January 2023.

We are fans of The World’s 50 Best, which recognises the best restaurants and bars across the globe. So, we are excited to hear that the Middle East & North Africa’s 50 Best Restaurants is returning, and will be unveiled in Abu Dhabi on 30 January 2023.

The second edition of the Middle East & North Africa’s 50 Best Restaurants is sponsored by S.Pellegrino & Acqua Panna. The awards span 19 countries in the Middle East and Africa, and celebrate the region’s greatest restaurants.

The star-studded ceremony brings together the best in the food and beverage business, from celebrity chefs to industry experts. The dinner will be hosted by Italian chef Massimiliano Alajmo, Singaporean pastry chef Maira Yeo and Japanese chef Hiroyasu Kawate.

Foodies will love 50 Best Week Abu Dhabi, which takes place across restaurants in the capital from 27 January to 1 February. The event concludes with #50BestTalks panel discussions with restauranteurs, which has welcomed speakers including Dubai’s Chef Izu, Bahrain restauranteur Tala Bashmi and Israeli chef Raz Rahav.

The World’s 50 Best has been compiled by 250 judges who have eaten their way around the region. The judges are made up of industry leaders including chefs, restauranteurs, food writers and well-travelled gourmets.

In 2022, Dubai came out on top of the Middle East & North Africa’s 50 Best Restaurant list. Dubai’s 3Fils hit the number one spot as the best restaurant in the region. Created by two Emirati restaurateurs and chef Akmal Anuar, it serves innovative Japanese-inspired cuisine.

The World’s 50 Best are not the only awards coming to the UAE. The MICHELIN Guide Abu Dhabi launches on 10 November, and our very own FACT Dining Awards take place in Abu Dhabi on 25 October and Dubai on 16 November.

Celebrations await.
