Al fresco dining season is back, and with Abu Dhabi’s terraces and rooftops reopening for the winter season, there’s one spot you need to add to your dining bucket list.
Nestled close to the National Exhibition Centre is the funky Aloft Abu Dhabi, where on the 12th floor, you’ll find the capital’s first and only brick-oven restaurant. Aptly named Brick Rooftop Kitchen & Bar, the striking venue combines breathtaking views of the Abu Dhabi skyline with a colourful garden theme and a rustic approach to cooking.
All dishes on the menu are prepared in one of the restaurant brick ovens, heated at 800 degrees using cedarwood and 600 degrees using pecan, respectively. Tuck into an appealing menu of wood-fired sourdough, four-cheese pizza, slow-cooked rib-eye steak, salmon cooked on a cedar plank, and oven-baked s’mores for dessert. Brick also serves a wide range of vegan and vegetarian options.
The casual and affordable hotspot also features a range of grapes, craft hops and signature cocktails, making the venue an excellent choice for sundowners or an after-work catch up with friends or colleagues. Daily sundowners are available from 5pm to 7pm, offering one house beverage and Brick bites for AED 45 per person.
Brick Rooftop Kitchen & Bar is also a fantastic place to kick-start the weekend in style with the Sundowner Brunch. Enjoy the serenity of the rooftop garden with live acoustic music and a feast of dishes that includes Cajun chicken wings, roasted lamb ribs, signature pizzas and fudge brownies. Thursdays, from 7pm to 10pm. AED 235 (soft beverages), AED 305 (house beverages) and AED 375 (bubbly).
