Tell us about your UAE journey.
My UAE journey has been one of the most amazing journeys so far. I started my career in China but wanted to do something different. So, I chose one of the most stable countries, the United Arab Emirates, to further explore and experiment with my abilities.
Please tell us about Sofitel SPA and why it’s seen as one of Abu Dhabi’s leading operators when it comes to beauty and wellbeing.
The Sofitel SPA brand is present in more than 28 Sofitel addresses worldwide, with multiple new locations on the way. Sofitel SPA represents an experience where different therapies from around the world combine with French expertise in cosmetology. Customer service is always at the forefront of whatever we do.

The UAE has seen a rise in beauty salons and barbershops in recent years. Why do you think this is?
In the fast-paced lifestyle of the UAE, I have observed increased consciousness in customers regarding their appearance. Both genders aim to be the best version of themselves.
How did you start your career in beauty and wellness, and what about the industry inspires you?
The biggest reason I am in the beauty and wellness industry is to make a difference in the lives of others. My inspirations are my guests. It is such a privilege to contribute something to their health and wellbeing. We stick to our vision and mission by providing our valued comfort and relaxation through our services.
What was it that specifically drew you to owning your own spa?
It was one of my aims to open a business that can be suitable for anyone. So, I choose the health and spa sector to promote a wellbeing lifestyle for my customers.
Please tell us about your role and what keeps it challenging and exciting.
At Sofitel SPA, every day is different, from day-to-day business operations to marketing campaigns and managing staff training. It is challenging yet always a productive day.
What sets Sofitel SPA apart from your competitors in the marketplace?
Sofitel SPA is already different from any other. The Brand itself has a significant impact that people already know about.
What advice do you have for women looking to start their own businesses?
All the women out there should be financially independent, no matter who their father is or who their husband will be. You have to be responsible for your own finances. I encourage you to start small.
Please share some of your professional goals for the rest of the year.
I want to expand my business not only in the United Arab Emirates but also want to explore different countries as well. I’m also interested in opening a Beauty Salon, which I have been working on.
