It’s time to rock and roll. The British band Jethro Tull are coming to Dubai Opera. The group are bringing their signature progressive rock sounds to the city, and the concert takes place on Friday, 24 November.
Jethro Tull hail from Luton, England. The group are famous for their fusion of blues, folk, jazz and rock. Active since 1967, the group have had a changing line-up. The group’s founding member is Ian Anderson, and significant members have included Mick Abrahams and Martin Barre.
The Jethro Tull line-up coming to Dubai includes Ian Anderson on flute, acoustic guitar, harmonica and vocals; Joe Parrish-James on guitar; Scott Hammond on drums; John O’Hara on piano, keyboards and accordion; and David Goodier on bass guitar.
Visitors can expect to hear classics like Aqualung, Bourée, Locomotive Breath and Heavy Horses. Plus, tracks from the more recent albums Tull, RökFlöte and The Zealot Gene.
There are more marvellous music events coming to the UAE. UNTOLD Dubai is a music festival taking place at EXPO City in February 2024, and was announced in style with DJ Armin van Buuren. KISS will perform in Dubai’s Coca-Cola Arena on 13 October, Robbie Williams will perform at Etihad Arena on 18 October, and Bryan Adams will perform at Coca-Cola Arena on 4 November.
