Dubai is packed with luxury hotels, but if you're after somewhere hip, put Mama Shelter Dubai on your radar. The new hotel is scheduled to open in late 2024, but it has got us excited with its oh-so-cool vibes.
Mama Shelter Dubai is being housed in a new Franklin Azzi Architecture-designed building in Business Bay, which will encompass 197 rooms and 204 residences. Mama Shelter is famous for creating an informal atmosphere, which is why you'll find room sizes categorised as S, M, L and going all the way up to XXL. Some rooms have a view of the Burj Khalifa. Plus, Thierry Gaugain is behind the contemporary, colourful interiors, which are playfully chic.
Mama Shelter Dubai will shake up Dubai's Business Bay, and millennials and Gen Z will feel right at home in this alluring gem in the desert. The venue will include four swimming pools on the third floor. One even features a semi-submerged bar. Plus, there is a multi-purpose gym and an outdoor cinema with a lounge area and DJs.
Dining experiences include an Italian trattoria-style restaurant, a terrace serving specialities from the robata grill, and a traditional day-to-night kitchen. The latter includes a wine cellar with cosy banquettes offering views of Business Bay and a hidden bar tucked away behind the stage.
The new hotel aims to be a social hotspot, whether for post-work drinks, a full-on party, or remote working. Mama Shelter hotels are known for having fun additions such as photo booths and screening rooms, plus practical additions such as co-working spaces and meeting spots. Mama Shelter Dubai will be no different, boasting colourful walls, eccentric hanging decorations, and mosaic steps to brighten up every corner of this advantageous address.

Bookings can be made for stays from 15 January 2025, starting at AED 1,020 per room per night for the entry-level Medium Mama rooms.
