Here’s everything we know about Kaimana Beach in Dubai.
A Polynesian concept is coming to Dubai. Now open on J1 Beach, Kaimana Beach specialises in Asian and Polynesian cuisine. The new shoreline dining destination offers fusion food, creative cocktails and beachside views, blending the relaxed charm of the Polynesian Islands with an effortlessly sophisticated ambience.
Kaimana is of Hawaiian origin: kai means sea and mana means power. In Polynesian culture, kaimana means spirit of the ocean, and the powerful essence of the sea. The name is fitting, given Kaimana Beach Club’s location and serene sea views of the Arabian Gulf.
At the venue’s heart is a tranquil pool, framed by chic loungers and beach furniture, including cosy sunbeds, beach cocoons for couples, and private Tiki cabanas for intimate gatherings. The space’s design showcases artisanal craftsmanship, featuring intricate tiles, natural wooden accents, and a striking bamboo pergola. With seamless indoor-outdoor transitions, Kaimana Beach immerses guests in a harmonious setting where the beauty of the sun, sea, and sky enhances every moment.
Daytime tunes feature chilled island lounge beats, while evenings come alive with live sundown sessions and dynamic deep house and Afro beats. Whether lounging poolside or enjoying a beachfront sunset, the atmosphere is always electric, and the curved bar is a sleek spot for drinks and gives visitors the chance to watch the mixologists work their magic.
Led by renowned chef Michael Collantes, who earned his first Michelin star for Soseki Modern Omasake in 2022, the menu draws inspiration from the chef’s Hawaiian heritage and global culinary influences. Highlight dishes include Braised Beef Cheek Loco Moco, Escargots Malasadas (savoury doughnuts filled with snails and black truffle cream), Piña Colada Oysters and Pulpo Anticuchero. For dessert, guests can indulge in the refreshing Coconut Tapioca Panna Cotta or the vibrant Lilikoi Crème Brûlée.
While the pool area is adults-only (21+), families are welcome to enjoy the pristine beach facilities, making it a destination for all. Pool Loungers are priced at AED 250 per person (redeemable), sunbeds by the beach are priced at AED 300 per person (redeemable), while a couples cocoon by the beach costs AED 750 per couple (redeemable).
J1 Beach is located on the site that was previously La Mer. The area has been transformed into an upmarket, day-to-night hotspot with 13 waterfront restaurants. The venues include include Bâoli, Gigi Rigolatto and Sirene Beach by Gaia.
