Expect stacked burgers and queue-worthy CrazyShakes.
When it comes to combining brilliant burgers and vibrant vibes, Black Tap has long been a name that stands out. Known globally for its award-stacked burgers, towering CrazyShake® milkshakes, and urban New York aesthetic, Black Tap is taking its signature style to the next level in Saudi Arabia. Its latest venture, Black Tap Backyard, is an exciting pop-up in Laysen Valley, Riyadh.
The aptly named Black Tap Backyard offers a food truck-style setting that captures the essence of laid-back dining. Boasting a beautiful terrace, it is a superb spot to soak up the cooler weather in an environment that feels both cosy and refreshingly dynamic.
The food truck concept aligns perfectly with Black Tap’s roots. Known for its graffiti-laden walls and retro diner vibes, Black Tap Backyard brings a touch of street-style to the Saudi dining scene. Here, the menu does the talking: think craft burgers, golden fries, and CrazyShakes® that are as much a feast for the eyes as they are for the taste buds. These dessert-meets-milkshakes look like a Willy Wonka creation, piled high with ice cream, toppings, and endless sweet treats. Aside from the mind-blowing mega shakes and plates that are perfect for the gram, the thumping beats and friendly staff create an energetic atmosphere that welcomes everyone.
Winning the award for ‘Best Casual Dining Restaurant’ at the FACT Dining Awards Riyadh 2024 is a testament to Black Tap’s excellence, and this pop-up reaffirms the brand’s commitment to innovation and quality.
The Kingdom’s MJS Holding is behind the opening of Black Tap Backyard. The hospitality group’s brands include AOK Kitchen, Il Baretto, Mr Chow, ROKA, Rüya and Zuma. The group also announced that it is bringing the restaurants BeauCoCo, Gina, Il Bambini Club, Liza, and Perruche de Pariso to Saudi Arabia. It will also open Arcade Food Hall, which is already located in London’s Tottenham Court Road and Battersea.
Black Tap Backyard is in good company in Laysen Valley. It joins French restaurant Bagatelle, Japanese favourite Sumosan, twisted Lebanese eatery MLLE and popular Kuwaiti restaurant White Robata in a location that combines Najd architecture with a splash of modern pizzazz. Experience the finest.
However, Riyadh is not the only location in Black Tap’s Saudi Arabian expansion plan. The restaurant will open at La Paz Plaza in Jeddah in early 2025.
Black Tap Backyard is open daily from 9am to 11:30pm.
