The British comic will perform at Princess Nourah University Theatre for one night only.
Saudi Arabia has been a magnet for some of the world’s best comedians. In recent months, the Kingdom has hosted Kevin Hart, Martin Lawrence, and Russell Peters. This time, the city is rolling out the red carpet for Al Murray in Riyadh.
Taking place on 18 January at the Princess Nourah University Theatre, Al Murray will take the stage with his brand-new show, Guv Island. Promising sharp wit and hilarious observations, he’s gearing up to make you roll on the floor laughing.
For those unfamiliar with his comedic wit, Al Murray is one of Britain’s most celebrated stand-up comedians. Born in Buckinghamshire, his comedy career took off in the early 1990s, but it was his creation of the character, The Pub Landlord that catapulted him to fame. With satirical takes on British culture, politics, and the world, this alter-ego quickly became a favourite amongst his fans.
Over the years, he became a regular on TV screens and comedy festivals. With accolades like Best Comedy Entertainment Performer at the British Comedy Awards and Perrier Comedy Award at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, Al Murray has proven himself to be a force to be reckoned with in the comedy world.
Al Murray’s upcoming gig at Princess Nourah University Theatre marks the comedian’s Saudi debut. However, this isn’t his first performance in the region. He will also bring Guv Island to Dubai Opera in the UAE on 20 January 2025.
Tickets for Al Murray in Riyadh are now live. Prices start at SAR 295 and go up to SAR 595, which will allow you to grab a seat at the front of the stage, so you can get up close to the comic.
Attendees must be 16 years or older.
