Al Siniya Island promises a blend of nature and luxury.

The UAE is no stranger to luxurious properties, especially the northern emirates which have become a favourite getaway choice for many. While Ras Al Khaimah has been a top pick, neighbouring Umm Al Quwain is stepping into the spotlight with a new destination. The city is gearing up to welcome the uber-luxe Siniya Island.

Located an hour’s drive away from Dubai, Siniya Island offers a serene escape from the city. It promises to be a haven for those who love luxury and nature, making it a perfect getaway destination.

Surrounded by the waters of the Arabian Gulf, the island will feature private waterfront units, mangroves, seagrass beds, and white sand beaches — much like the Maldives. Other key highlights of the luxe island destination will include a family golf course, floating pavilions, event halls, a helix bridge, light and water shows, a fiesta square, a community centre, an eco-park, a play zone, and two resorts.

For those wondering how they can access Siniya Island when it’s completed, a causeway bridge will link the island to mainland Umm Al Quwain.

The Siniya Island project aligns with the UAE government’s vision of blending modern amenities into Umm Al Quwain’s natural environment. The island, known as the oldest pearling town in the Arabian Gulf, boasts mudflats, salt marshes, natural rock edges, and archaeological sites, including a sixth-century monastery and stone circles. This rich heritage and biodiversity will be preserved and highlighted throughout the development of Siniya Island, making it a go-to destination for those seeking luxury with a dash of cultural influence. Recent archaeological studies indicate that the island is also believed to be the location of the lost city of Tu’am.

Details of when the new island destination will break ground haven’t been disclosed yet but stay tuned at FACT for all the insights.
