Apart from recreation, Jebel Ali Beach will also promote environmental preservation.

The people of Dubai love beaches. Be it weekday or weekend, day or night, you’ll find residents flocked to the shores to enjoy the waters. With more than ten public beaches already, get ready to welcome the longest beach in the city with the announcement of Jebel Ali Beach.

Announced by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai, Jebel Ali Beach is designed to provide entertainment and prioritise environmental preservation.

Stretching 6.6 kilometres and covering 330 hectares, Jebel Ali Beach will offer a recreational experience unlike any other beach in the United Arab Emirates. It will be divided into two areas — a five-kilometre sandy beach, inclusive of a swimmable and diving area, and a 1.6-kilometre mangrove beach.

At the sandy stretch, beachgoers will enjoy walking tracks, viewing platforms, a children's play area, a sports area, a cycling track, and a barbecue area. Whereas the mangrove part will not only offer enriching learning experiences but also prioritise environmental preservation. It’ll serve as a hub for various living organisms. Visitors can also look forward to seeing turtles in their natural habitat at Jebel Ali Beach. This initiative is part of a larger effort to rescue, rehabilitate, and return turtles to the sea.

As for Jebel Ali Beach’s design, the buildings and facilities will draw inspiration from marine life. Expect to see elements like coral shapes and turtle shells as part of this development. This blend of aesthetics and functionality will ensure an enjoyable experience for all.

Details on the completion date are still under wraps.
